Mammoth Cave National Park

I was craving something a little more substantial over Labor Day weekend. I hadn't been to a new national park in awhile, so I looked at the map and quickly threw together a Midwest trip. I flew into St. Louis and went up the Gateway Arch, then over to Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. While I don't think it was nearly as pretty as Carlsbad, it was mammoth indeed...the world's largest cave system at 400 miles and counting. I did the 2-mile historical tour through the main entrance. Very cool. (54 degrees, to be exact)
