Mount Olympus
December 6, 2014 - Northern Utah
6.7 mi  /  4,212 ft
December is not typically a time of year that I would consider a peak like Mount Olympus. But Dave got ahold of me craving a hike, and since he recently moved to SL Valley and had never done Olympus...and it had been an unseasonably warm December, it fit the bill nicely. I was also curious how hiking would feel since having lost 30 lbs. As it turns out, climbing 4,000+ feet, even 30 lbs lighter, is still hard work! :) My knees had no issues on the way down, which is encouraging since Olympus is a pretty steep route. The scramble at the end is always fun, and the view of SLC is outstanding.
