Everglades National Park

The next national park up on my Florida trip was Everglades National Park, located at the very southern tip of the state. I actually hauled my packraft all the way across the country and was hoping for a good opportunity to use it. Everglades has these things called "canoe trails" that fit the bill perfectly. I settled on one called Nine Mile Pond. The only thing I was a little worried about was rafting around relatively exposed amongst the crocodiles and alligators, but the ranger assured me I'd be fine. I also went on a ranger-guided back country tour and saw lots of cool wildlife.
