This has been an unseasonably warm (and hence crappy snow) winter, and I begin to freak out as I see the snow recede on the mountains...so I knew I had to take advantage while I could. Rob and son Hunter joined me on what has become another of my favorite Wasatch spring climb routes, Santaquin Peak via Woodland Hills. It was a bit of a bushwhack at the bottom, but once you get into the snow, it's the perfect shape, smoothness, and slope for a fantastic Swiss Bob back to the car. You can nearly make it from summit to vehicle w/o stopping.
