Ruby Mountains - Liberty Lake

My buddy Terry had moved to Elko, Nevada awhile back due to finding a job there. As it happens, there is a pretty awesome mountain range, about the same height as the Wasatch, very close to Elko. Terry wanted to pack our packrafts up to Liberty Lake, which is over 100 feet deep, and try to catch some of the big macks that are reportedly in there. We didn't catch a big one, but we did catch quite a few brookies in Lamoille, Liberty, and Favre lakes. It was kind of weird to be in such a pretty alpine environment...and in Nevada...at the same time. :)
