This is one of those "lifer" trips where you can potentially wait for years (which we did) for the conditions to be just right. The Virgin had been flowing at around 200-250 cfs for awhile, and a relatively hot and sunny window presented itself. When Dave suggested we drop everything and go down, I knew I couldn't not go, despite my reservations about the danger and difficulty of the float. I'm happy to report that, even though it was scary to go down sight unseen, it was a very enjoyable (and FAST) nearly continuous class III jaunt down the famous Zion Narrows. NO one else in the canyon. Truly epic!
