Box Elder Peak - Sleigh Runner

Coming off a successful ascent of Primrose Cirque and the Timp glacier, it was time to graduate to a more substantial challenge...a Wasatch 11er and old favorite - Box Elder Peak via the Sleigh Runner gully. Bryan can see this route from his house in Lehi and it was high on his to-do list. It's been a brutally hot June so far this year, and to say the snow has been melting fast would be an understatement. So we played hookie from work and went up on a beautiful Thursday morning. Wide Hollow had even less snow than I anticipated, but there was a nice snow line all the way to the top. Great bob down, too!
