Leg 4 of my 9-day solo trip was the main reason I put this trip together in the first place...I wanted to get up to Alaska and get at least one of its 8 national parks under my belt, namely Glacier Bay National Park. I had to fly from Juneau to Gustavus, then take a bus shuttle up to Bartlett Cove and the lodge, spend the night, and finally board a boat for an 8-hour tour of the bay. It was kind of cloudy/rainy, which hindered the view of the mountains some, but we still saw tons of wildlife (including 6 grizzly bears, some puffins, humpback whales, etc.). The trip culminated at the face of spectacular Margarie Glacier.
