Sheep Creek

My grandpa carved his name in a slot canyon in Sheep Creek, a ways south of Tropic where he lived, way back in 1930 when he was about 20 years old. My dad found a picture of it on the internet and has wanted to find it in person ever since. An opportunity presented itself so we headed down on a quest, so to speak, to find the carving. It took about 9 miles of hiking cross country in the heat, but I eventually did reach Sheep Creek. And I'm happy to say that, despite looking in a few wrong places, I eventually DID find the slot it was located in and the carving itself. :) Oh, and it was actually a really pretty area.
