Mount Hood
July 23, 2018 - Northern Oregon
7.4 mi  /  5,445 ft
Mount Hood has been on my list for a long, long time. It's Oregon's state highpoint, a Cascade volcano, and one of the coolest-looking mountains from pretty much all angles, and with a ton of prominence. What's not to like? :) Coworker Rob had done it before and was wanting to go again and take his son, Hunter. The mountain looks pretty intimidating from the lodge, especially the crux at the top, but in the end it ended up not being too bad. Definitely steep, but nothing really crazier than what I've done in the Wasatch many times. We were able to Swiss Bob down the bottom half via the groomed ski run. :D
