High Uintas - Dead Horse Pass

It was way too big a snow year to attempt our traditional June High Uintas backpack, so we postponed until mid-August. Dave's Granite trip fell through, and Jordan decided to come with us as well, so we had a good group. The conditions were more like you'd find in mid-July - green and pretty, but with lots of mosquitoes. We managed the skeets, however, and had a great time on this point-to-point route. The Dead Horse Pass area is really pretty, as are many of the higher Rock Creek Basin areas. We also hit a couple summits...Dave and I did Priord, and Mikey did South Yard. Fantastic trip!
