South Thunder Mountain

I wasn't really looking to do a beast of a summit like South Thunder, but Mikey expressed a desire...and I liked the idea the more I thought about it...so South Thunder we did! This area is such a unique part of the Wasatch Range, especially this time of year, with the white granite rock, the lush green, wildflowers, Lake Hardy...absolutely beautiful. We extended a few invites, and ultimately my nephew Caleb agreed to come and summitted South Thunder for his first time. We all ended up taking a dip in Hardy, as well. I just wish this hike had a more maintained trail, and well-defined trailhead.
