Big Baldy

I'm not sure why but I just had a hankering for getting to the top of Big Baldy. Maybe it had just been a long time...which it had. :) Anyway, I started WAAAY too late on a scorching August afternoon and paid the price. Plus I made the decision to go up the Dry Canyon trail, but then back down the steep, loose ridge trail. In hindsight I probably should have done it the other way around. In any event, in spite of some questionable decision making this day, I made it to the top and back in one piece. Amazing views of Timp and the valley. Cross this one off the list...for awhile anyway. :)
